Azalaï — A Visual Story of Identity & Heritage
Azalaï explores the intersection of culture, identity, and movement through the lens of African heritage. Rooted in North, East, and Sub-Saharan traditions, the series highlights ceremonial garments, traditional braiding practices, and personal expressions of beauty and strength. Set against contemporary backdrops, Azalaï blends editorial portraiture with narrative storytelling, honoring the diverse threads that shape African identity across generations. This work reflects my ongoing practice of merging cultural narratives with modern visual storytelling for brands, publications, and meaningful collaborations.
